FYI, I've tried strut tower braces at various points of the development and found no real improvement.
i agree, but the theory of a strut tower brace is to limit front body flex

Yep, the theory is sound but it just seems this car is more rigid than past cars I've driven. Just offering my experience.

GT? Aftermarket anti-sway bar.

157db - the initial question was regarding body ROLL - not FLEX

the Steeda torque box braces are for reinforcement - not body flex.

strut tower brace=waste of money

sway bar=+ a milllion

adj Shock & struts are good

stiffer springs are going to be needed to

No the idea of a strut tower brace is to keep the suspension geometry in its optimum allignment during hard cornering where flex can knock it out slightly. Unless you have other upgrades done at the same time and have a properly built suspension your unlikely to notice the effect. Especially if you have not taken your car on a track and driven near the limits. They do work but without other modifications your not likely to notice.

wozz nailed it. stiffer springs would be a good startto reduce body roll. i got the brace, but only cuz i got it second hand dirt cheap and had it painted to match my car, legend lime. looks great, does next to nothing.

#1 Lower the car with good springs, I have Steeda sports, they are great. #2 Install good struts, TokicoD-specs are one of the best. #3 Put Urethane bushings on the front sway bar, probably not neccesary to upgrade the bar unless you are going to be racing, even then a lot guys have tried it and hated it, as it caused bad understeer problems. This will fix the body roll in the front. Then you will need to fix the rear as it will roll badly with increased HP. #1 good springs #2 TokicoD-spec shocks #3 Put Urethane bushings on the sway bar #4 aftermarket sway bar, I have Steeda's bar, it works very well. After you spend some serious money, your car will handle properly. The body on the S197 is very stiff, I don't have any additional bracing except for the lower K-member brace by CHE. I do definately recommend that mod. There is no quick, cheap easy fix to make the car handle well. I did it a little at a time until it handled the way I wanted it to.

Thanks guys!

Keep in mind I have upgraded my rear suspension. Its very solid now, and I think that has to do with why the front is rolling so much while the rear sits level. The stock GT's I saw autocrossing had much more rear roll and much less front roll.

I did do poly-u front sway bushings, but maybe thats not good enough. Perhaps ill bite on the Spohn front sway which includes endlinks...

I dont want to drop the car with springs right now.... Trying to avoid it. I know it make a large difference, but I'm going to try my best not to. I just don't want to have a lower car... Maybe later.
