Default 3.55 gears

,since my wife ordered my car because i was in iraq, and i cant find the window sticker that tells you whats in the car, how do i tell if i have 3.55 gears because they are not stock in the 07 like alot of people think its a $100 option. also do all gt's have positrack or whatever its called so both wheels spin not one, or is that an option too?

I already answered these questions before. I told you where to look and how to tell if it was traction lock.

All GT's have Traction Loc. (Positraction was a GM unit produced by Eaton).

look at the tag number located on your rear axle cover, it's held on with one of the rear cover bolts, if you see a 3L55
that would indicate you have a locking 3.55 rear ratio.

Run it up to 6k rpms in 3rd gear. You should be running just over 100mph.If you are going 110 or faster then you have 3.31.

I guess you could do it in 2nd gear, if you hit 68mph@6000, you have 3.55's, if you're doing 73mph@6000, you have 3.31's. Not as big of a difference in 2nd though.

If that doesn't work maybe you could ask the dealer? They should be able to get you the info.
