well all the combos are strange, but I like the orange the best, maybe not so wide, and you could try 5 stripes instead, like this,, H HHHH H HHHH H or just 3 like this H HHHH H thats what I would do myself, and try the tape first, that way you can change it just by pulling it off and cleaning it up.. post pics!!

If you have them painted on you have a lot more options with colors and effects like stripes that fade back to white in the center or adding pearls of stripes or ghost flames, dont rush ,and talk with some custom painters you'll get more for your money.

The black stripes actually look better than I thought they would. I thought the black would be too overbearing considering all of the other black, but it isn't so bad. I'm sure if I did black it would look wayyyy better in person to.

I like the black ,maybe not so wide.Im still trying to figure out how to stripe my car.Im going to talk to a paint guy for some more ideas.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I seriously think you would be best off going with a different shade of red for your stripes, then you don't have to worry about trying to match the stripes with your black convertible top. I've seen orange, silver, blue, and black all go the route of using stripes of another shade variance on their cars, and all of the cars looked good. If all of those colors can pull it off I don't see why red can't.
