Default LESS THAN 24HRS

Had my 05 GT less than 24 hrs and I put it on the rack at our shop looking to find warranty repairs before it ran out. Found the oil pan gasket to be sweating a little oil, A/C compressor leaks oil, Have a slight clunk on the R/F on rough roads, and between 40-50 MPH on decel in 2nd or 3rd a WA WA type noise from the left rear, but only on decel and no clunking from 1st to reverse. Took it into the dealer and so far theyve replaced the A/C comp, oil pan gasket( I made it look worse by squirting a little extra around the pan seal)and theyre rebuilding my diff cuz they think its making the noise. I think its the left rear bearing but I'll wait and see. The cars got 35k on it and I'm praying I didnt get a Beat Down *****. If anyone thinks I got a lemon let it fly cuz I'm gonna dump it if this car is having unheard of issues.

I've always said there's only one way to buy a car like a Mustang...brand freaking new, because you never know what the previous owner did to it. That being said, I recommend you look into purchasing a service contract. Also, was Ford doing the 5/60 powertrain back in 05 because you've also got that if they were (not sure)...

You may have got a lemon. Just wait and drive it after they have done all the repairs on it and see if it is ok. I hope everything works out good for you. Post some pics!

The 5/60 was not on the 05's and 06's. Ford started that with the '07's.

It actually started with the '06s. It was an incentive to get rid of the cars on the lot. I was made because it came 4 months after I got mine.

+1 I never liked buying used performance cars. Everyone I ever bought as a kid was junk[:@]. I hope you got yourself a good one.

that right front clunk is persistant on all 05-07 mustangs. got it on mine as well.

if you got the whine on the tranny when doing a u-turn or hard turn, they'll repack the clutch packs to try to fix it.

I bought mine used...from a gentlemen who had to sell it cuase his daughter was starting to drive and didnt wanthave her driving the GT...so he bought her some little compact haha, found out he also bought an new Z06 after he got rid of this...

I usually wouldnt have bought one used..but i got a steal and when i checked it out, there were 2/32nds gone on the tires with 40,000KM, it was babied, so i am happy with my car...Had it now for little over 10,000KM and 4 months, and havent had a single problem of repair...other than the fact that i've spun teh tread right off the rear tires hahaha, time to rotate!!
