I intend on just using a dot of paint on my numerous chips not going through the whole process of sanding and clear coating. If I had a larger scratch I would do the whole process as described by DupliColor.

I asked the Ford dealer parts guy if the paint tubes had both a brush and a pen applicator and he said they only had the brush. You just can't trust any of those guys can you?

I work in the parts dept of a ford dealer, the touchup paint comes with the duel setup (brush & pen), if your tube only came with a brush then it was a very old tube of touchup.

Ok then I'll head back to the dealer, only this time a different one. The guy that said it was just a brush maybe didn't know what he was talking about. I took his word for it and just left without buying one. I did want the one with both applicator. Thanks guys.

Check out paintscratch.com as well. I have a small scratch in my car as well and I just ordered one of their touch-up kits. I haven't gotten ityet - it takes a while because it's mixed after you order - but I've heard a lot of good things about it. You can choose the exact color code from your Mustang and they'll match it - they even ask for your VIN to double check the color. I'm taking the Stang on a road trip this weekend, so even if I get the touch-up, I won't have time to apply it until next week, but if you haven't fixed your problem by the time I try it, I'll try to remember to get on and let you know how it worked out.

The dupi-color stuff from autozone actually works quite well. I've patched up a few nicks and scraps on my front bumper with it. Can't even tell.
