There's no crime in the dealer making money on this deal. that's why they are in business. Keep that in mind, especially with a car like the Mustang, that they know people ar particular about what they want, and they will milk that. If you were buying a minivan, do you think you'd be as particular about the black on black Freestar?Anyway, nothing wrong with knowing that the dealership made a few bucks on the deal, but the art is to figure out how to minimize it.

Well im just going to say is dont sign any contracts too soon. I dont know your financial situation but if its gonna be rough on you too make the payments then wait a little bit.

I bouth my car almost fully loaded for around 30K. Down payment of 5Gs and my trade in at 3Gs with a 4.9% interest brought my payments down to 390/month.

The problem is when I went to get my car I wanted to order it so I would have to wait 6-8 weeks and I could get atleast 3 more paychecks in which all the money from the checks would be going straight to my pocket(live at home-college student) and I could of dropped that money into mods as sson as I bought the car. The dealer found a car in Oklahoma(live in TX) so when I got the car it had 3xxmiles(I didnt want any) and I got it the following Monday. Also it had a wing(didnt want the wing) and it also has the satelite radio(didnt want that). Im happy I got the car but it was sooner than I wanted.

Id say keep saving more money for the down payment and hit the dealership back up when the 08s come out IF you arent picky about your options b/c they will be cut shorter than if you ought it earlier.

No real changes going on in the 08's.. would just be another year.

i meani can wait for them.. but this car is the beaut and the black/black combo i want.

Anyways.. 6am now.. I hit the dealership at 10:30 and drop the atomic i want the best deal bomb... and see if they want to dance.
i think im a bit nervous.. I dunno its hard to be pushy when your simply a computer tech guy whos shy about everything..

the sales guy almost seemed sad/upset when i wanted to work numbers yesterday.. and I mean I know the guy isntmy friend or pal or best bud.. but I feel bad and i really hope hes not just playing some game to make this harder.

He's not playing a game. Of course he's sad because he wants to make the most he can and he thought he could get a real good comission check off of you. Now that you want to deal he sees that check going down.

But I'm also sure he's trying to make you feel bad in hopes you won't go down too far. It's all about that comission he gets. Don't let him make you feel bad for wanting the best deal. They tried playing that game with me when I bought my car. But it didn't work. You can get a great deal while they still make some money. Remember, no matter what they tell you they aren't going to sell the car at a loss.

Everyone and by everyone.. I mean everyone i have spoken to is telling me its not the smart choice..
but most of them are 40+ kids wives.. and have lost the chance at their dream car..

the 10% interest rate is just a worst case.. im able to get around 5% from my credit union.

*sigh* why is buying a thirty thousand dollar car so much stress
They have learned some things in Life; first don't pay interest unless you HAVE too, second if you do pay interest pay as little as possible. Go with the 5% from your Credit Union with no trade in, and then sell the Civic.

Me, I'm 44 mo wife no Children. I just bought a Shelby GT500 Vert, New. I Paid $30,895.00 down in cash and Financed30,700.34 through Ford at 0% for 3 Years.I've learned a few things too.
