Default Why not Roush?

Just wondering why Roush parts aren't more popular mods for many GT's? I would think the RoushCharger that upholds the factory warrantee would be a popular choice for FI, but I don't think (at least on this forum)I've ever read about anyone putting one on. Same for the suspension upgrades. Even very few of the body parts. I haven't even seen many posts by people who have them. I personally think the Roush mustangs are pretty sweet. Why no love for Roush? Is there something I don't know?

a great opportunity to finally thank ToolTtime .
many old timers will remember toolttime and his
son, installing the roush charger on his stang....it planted
a seed, which ultimately led to me installing my own
s/c as well.

there is love for the roush products!

I like some of his appearance mods and he sells the corsa x-pipe for a decent price.

Most people that want the kind of power a SC can deliver won't be happy with the 425 that comes with the Roush. There's nothing wrong with the Roush and it's a good deal if you can be satisfied with the basic bump in HP and keep the warranty. But, the minute you change anything (tune, pulley, etc), the warranty that you get with the Roush is void, so the warranty benefit becomes moot.

As for body mods, why go Roush? So you can look like every other Roush? Suspension mods are good, but for the $$ you can do better.

If it were cheaper than a saleen i'd get one. There's a reason they give you some kinda warranty, it's because it's only pushing 5 psi of boost. Most any engine should hold up to that. They don't add these warranties because they think you'll have problems.

Like the guys said parts are pointlessly expensive.

As for body parts, the rousch stang looks like a giant brick!

Most of Roush stuff is well made and engineered well. His S/C on the other hand, Engineering wise, sucks, KB is much better engineering wise. If your looking to have a reliable/safe/ long lasting 100 hp, then the Roush is just fine. Americans have always felt that if 100 is good then 300 is much better.
Trouble with that is, you can't add more than 100 hp to a 300 hp engine with light weight stock engine components and still have it live for more than a month.
Jack Roush is a marketing genius, His parts are just parts, some good, some not so good.
Some people pay $150.00 for some tennis shoes?

This video is kinda long but interesting when it gets to comparing the Roush and the Shelby.
