Default wheel spacers

I really want some wheel spacers for my back wheels but i know nothing about them. How do they get installed and can i do it myself? I have no idea what kind or size i need. anyone have pics or recemendations on what would look good without going overkill. any help would be appreciated

Do you guys think wheel spacers are safe?

I remembr back when I had an eclipse it was forbidden to use them... Not the case on the mustang?

Most spacers are fine as long as you buy a decent set and dont go to silly sizes with them. If rally cars can use them and there put under the stress they go through I cant see a street driven stang putting much pressure on them.

Hubcentric spacers are a must in my opinion though as the normal ones do give vibration problems etc.

heres the thing..

i work at discount tire.. if we unbolt a wheel and find spacers, we put the car on hold, or dont bolt the wheels back uppo with them on and give them seperately back to the customer..

this is because they are UN SAFE.. there have been insatances where the wheel has fallen off because of these.. i dont recomend them at all.. if you HAD to get some, the only ones i would even play wiht would be the ones that bolt on to the hub and then from there you bolt the wheel on, like the ones in the first link.. these are still not safe at all, but are the best way to go if you must.. up to you..

but dont expect to get your car worked on and then them put them back on.. you will have to do it at home.. at least thats how it is a discount tire

There's a place in Colton CA(60 miles east of L.A.) that makes billet(T6160) spacers for off-road vehicles, but can make any bolt pattern(from 1.25" to 2" in width). Trailsport4x4 is the place(www.trailsport4x4.com) hope the moderators don't mind the website being mentioned[&o]
