I was at the American Cruisers "car show" this weekend in Lyndhurst NJ at the Whiskey Cafe. I saw a unique interior trunk lid cover on 2 2006 mustangs. These were nothting like the ones offered by Grand Design Mat. This fit into the center portion of the trunk below the latch cover, the upside down T if you will. Was made of leather or vinyl and had a chromed pony emblem. I am unable to find this anywhere on the Net. So I am guessing it might be custom made by the owner. I can not explain how sharp this looked. It was awesome. I will try to get a pick the next time (if I see it again). In the mean time, anyone who know's what the hell I am talking about, if you could provide a manufacturer of these I would appreciate it.

I was at the same show. Did we meet? Anyway, I was told that the owner created it himself. It looked phenomenal...maybe we can ask him to make them for us...

Nope.... looked much nicer... I was there too.... and did see it from a far..

I wish I had looked more closely but I got tied up.

No, it was much more finished. If you look at the underside of the trunk lid you will see bracing that looks like an upside down "T". This fit into that flush, really nice.

No we did not meet, I made a cameo appearance. My stocked out GT seemed a little out of show. I will make sure to meet and greet the next time I am there. I saw a string of ponies come in from the run. All nice rides. I will definately speak to the owners of those cars next time. Take good care.
