Default Mounting Raptor Shift Light

Lets see those mounting spots for the raptor.
I got mine but dont like the install by the
odometer because you cant see it when
the steering wheel is turned. Any ideas
for a better spot? The overhead console
is out of the question because it cant be
seen while wearing a hat. Thanks...

Good call about not being able to see it with a hat. I never thought about it.. That would have sucked!
What about the a/c vent?

I've seen that but I like my vents pointed down.
Maybe the dash right inline with the field of vision?

when are you going to be redlining, and have the wheel turned enought to blind the light..

just a thought..

but i think the vent is a good spot, or on the pillar... in the vent, even with it angled down, you will see it flick on, its bright

actually, come to think of it, on the dash may be to bright at night and when it goes off, cuase a second or two of blindness like when a flash goes off from a camera..

hmm..

I have this problem with redlining and the limiter coming on around
corners. Just cant seem to remember to shift the darn thing into 2nd
because I am having soo much fun whipping the rear end around and
such, so yes, the steering wheel could be turned. Got the blanking
panel out where the information center controls go if you have that
option. Might drill a .750 hole and put it there or in the left hand
corner of the dash next to the A-pillar. Looks like the wire will
go thru a gap there and be hidden. Or to the left of the speedo
under the overhang of the dash but I dont see any way to get the
wire thru to behind the dash. Maybe bypass the light function
and just have it activate a big hand to come out and slap me?

Checked the accuracy and hysterisis of the raptor with a freq generator.
Boy this puppy is dead right on to 1 rpm either way of the setpoint.
GREAT JOB ON THE ENGINEERING OF THE RAPTOR. A+

Thanks, but no thanks. Seen that install and it is way below par for me.
Unprotected wires, holes drilled in onerhead consoles, wires run down BOTH
A pillars for some whacky reason, unfused power feeds and the list goes
on and on. Thats a problem waiting to happen.
Maybe I came to the wrong place for creative undestructive info. [:@]

excuse me for showing you a solution... one BTW that follows the manufactures instructions on the install...

try this one Mr Uberfanatic..... https://mustangforums.com/m_2890925/tm.htm

maybe you can reinvet the wheel for us and do it in a manner that will cut at least 1 second from our 1/4 times?

What ya say....

Not debating on the need for help here, just not finding the solutions
up to my **** Uberfanatic standards. I wont do a mod unless it meets
my exacting standards. Its very hard for me to undertake a project
because of the fear of bad results. Justnot finding the solution here.
I guess I will have to reinvent the wheel while others just stand by
and take what they can get or pay someone else to do for them.[:@]
