Default emissions w/x-pipe

I've been searching for an x-pipe for a v6 that will pass emissions which means i need the convertors. (stupid PA!). anyways, which one is the best one to get?? magnaflow?? The main reason i want to do this is because i want to switch over to dual exhaust.

The X-pipe goes after the convertors ... so does and H-pipe ...

It's really not a stupid question, you will find more off road (no cats) x and h pipes than emission legal ones. From the way you're talking, I'd say go with an emission legal x pipe, that's what I'm planning on doing soon. I've found the two better ones out there are the Ford Racing one, ~$130 depending on where you look for it, or a Pypes ~$90 from Latemodel Restoration Supply. I'm probably going with the Pypes because they both are stainless and I personally feel the extra cash is paying for the Ford name on the box. They are pretty well identical and you will have to cut the factory h-pipe after the cats and clamp this one in. Pretty simple installation if you can get the car lifted on stands or a lift.
