Hey all, I am seriously considering the purchase of bassani's ss race axle back for my 07 gt. I know its not the loudest but im going to eventually get the long tubes and mid pipe to match. The question i have is if anyone has this system and what they think about it. In addition i wanted to know if the street axleback they make is as good or better.It is more expensive but the mufflers are larger, making me wonder if the performance is less and sound decreased as compared to the race setup. Any experience/ advice is much appreciated as this is my first serious modification (to be coupled with a steeda cai and tuner).

I have the axleback unpolished mufflers. I loved the sound outside the car but the drone inside the cabin was mind splitting at 1500-2000 RPM's so they are sitting in my garage with only a couple weeks use. I'll go with either Corsa or FRPP GTA's when I try exhaust again.

 

I see, so are those the larger mufflers or the straight through design?

There is no performance differences.

All sound...id assume the street would be a little quieter.

 

I had the "streets" and then went to the Race.

I like them.
