Default mods after track?

I was thinking about it the other day and I came to the conclusion that after you go to the track it makes you want more mods to go faster. I had my old mustang for 2+ years and I never took it to the track and only had 3 mods on it(cai, h-pipe, catbacks). I have only had my current mustang for less than 4 months and ive already spent nearly 2K modding it. I bought my cai, tuner, and exhuast before I visited the track, but now I want tires, nitrous, driveshaft, tubular K and A-arms, LCAs, and UCAs and I want them BAD. Is this they way it happened for the rest of you guys or did you guys just mod your car b/c of a loss or what?

Default RE: mods after track?

it seems every time i go to the track my car is quicker and then I want to break a new record. first I wanted 13.5 then 13. 0 then just to be in the 12's then I hit 75 shot nitrous last week and got into the 11s and now I am going up to the 125 shot this weekend. my current goal is to get it to 12.0 on motor then add a procharger most likely. Im kinda taking it slow getting there because after the motor is built the auto tranny will be the weak link and I know there are some companies working on beefing them up to hold the horsepower I will soon have

Nice I am setting goals to break for myself too. I want to go 12s on street tires, then break 11s all motor, then im adding spray, then im building the motor h/c/maybe i, and then im going forced induction. This should be around a 5 year project considering im only in my 2nd year of college.

^^^ no I blame this friggin FORUM for my mod habit ($1900 is the running parts and labor total since I got the thing 7 weeks ago, and I've already lined up a gears/drag radials/takeoff wheels mod for another $900 p&l that I hope I can stave off until I pay off the rest!)
thanks, ya jerks! (JK)
