RE: Drag Radial opinion
Very impressive writeup on your link. Here are links for Goodrich and Nitto drag radials. Unfortunately they both require wheels wider than 8.5" for 18" applications. Nitto has a 17" tire that would work with an 8" wheel. I'm looking at the same issue, looks like I need to get wider wheels for the back of my car.

I love the BFG 275 15s on my '88, they hook well on the street without even heating. I heartily reacommend them. But I would be concerned about the lack of deflection with an 18" or larger.

What wheel do you have? I got the 18 X 8.5" polished bullits and so far no one has them available in 10" width, kinda sucks, they only got chrome and painted.

hmm maybe they make my wheel in a 18x10 ?

BFG mad a 265/40/18 that fits well... I have them....they are hard to find as they were discountinued in march...but they are still out there.... Lethal had them on their website as of a few weeks ago..... no real hard pulls on them yet but so far they seem to hook well... I'm told 275/40/18s will fit but they are not "approved" form the 265's I have I think they'd be ok.
and no the OEM polished bullits are not made in 18x10..

RE: Drag Radial opinion
yeah...its a touch spot... I have the bullits and love em. dont want to change...
but if you really want wider rubber out back its difficult.
Choices from my research:
1) suck it up and get 4 new matching rims... 18x9 front 18x10 rear and new tires.
2) get 265's for the rears.. hard to find and expensive in you want non-DRs
3) get 275/40/18 (non-approved) but much used on these cars.
4) get your current rears widened. (about $150-200 each and you have to send them to Michigan)
