Default Fuel Level Sensor?

Have any of you had problems with your Fuel Level Sensor? I've had off and on problems with my '05 GT almost from the beginning, but usually it just corrected itself until yesterday. Yesterday the check engine light came on and my fuel gauge went to empty. I went by Autozone and had them check the code and sure enough it was the Fuel Level Sensor. My car is still under warranty but it's supercharged and I'm a little worried to take it in. Is this part easily replaced and cheap, or hard and expensive? If it's easy and cheap I may just do it myself and not worry about the warranty. My biggest worry is the dealership re-flashing my computer back to stock with new code. It's my understanding if they do that I have to send my programmer back to Kenne Bell and have it re-programmed becuase the dealership would use the updated code which would be different then my programmer supports. I also really don't want to argue with them, they are real butt heads.
