Put money down if your worried about the monthly payment. I put down some money to make my GT loan about $20k and my payments are $339 or something.

Congrats
Its not that im worried about it but i just want to know what to be expecting!

WOW those are amazing payments. I think ill do the same as you and just get a nice down payment to make the monthlys nice and easy.

The salesman told me i could order an 08 WHENEVER i wanted. He said i could even order one next July if i felt like it.... Is this true? i was thinking there was a deadline.

I didnt realize i asked your opinion on this dad

I can have it paid off in less than a year so you really shouldnt judge......
he's not judging, he's complimenting you -- or your circumstances -- to be able to do this. He's jealous.

Me too.

Hey, as far as insurance, I am 22, no blemishes on my driving record and I am paying a little under $1600/yr for the fullest coverage they had, not great, but oh well. (Thats with USAA, including discounts from my parents being with them).

Just to give you a picture...

Call your insurance agent or do one of the online quotes. First, geta VIN from the dealership. If you find one close to what you think you would order, you should geta close quote on the insurance. As an insurance agent I have seen the premium jump several hundred dollars because of an incorrect VIN quoted.

Our payments are $510, but itwas $27,000 financed at 4.9%.Can't compare our insurance to yours because we arein our 30's and you usually have a good discount once you turn 25 if you are male, 22 if female.

I knowhow you feel about these new mustangs. We had an 02, bought an 07 without even test driving one, just loved the style, and I love it. Too bad it is the husbands, but eventually he will need to drive mytruck and have to let me drive the Mustang.

I put $4000 down on my 07. I ended up springing for the extended bumper to bumper full warranty. So basically that ate up my down payment. So, I am financing a little over 29K...and am paying $492/month. Granted it's over 7 or 8 years though. I plan on having it for at least that long. I am 27 and paying $108/month for insurance vs the $88/month on my 02 Eclipse I traded in.
