Default Quarter Window Louver Question

I've been looking at various louvers for my '07 and was wondering about the Rouch version (which can be unscrewed from their mounting clips for window cleaning) vs. the cheaper louvers that mount directly to the windows and can't be removed. I'd really hate to put the cheaper ones on and then find that I can't clean the outside of the window. Any input would be appreciated (well, ALMOST any...).

My brother has a the 1/4 window louvers, they're held on with 3M Dual Loc ...

dual loc

there is a low profile dual loc that gives you a nice tight fit... so if you want to save a few bucks and remove them to clean - you can do it...

just get these:
http://wheelskin.com/Merchant2/merch...t_Code=DG-3180

Only $184 w/ shipping, painted to match your Mustang, and to clean you just rince well with the hose, then get a thin hand mitt, or maybe a kitchen sponge and soap it up through the gaps. When it's time to dry I use my chamois, folded, and it fits in pretty well.
You also need to remember that they window will be covered so it will be getting less dirty, plus you won't be able to see much dirt anyway!
I got mine because they were:
1- painted in my color
2- More affordable than buying less expensive ones that then had to be painted by a shop
3- Good looking
4- strong fitting
5- had a reasonable view through them, which pays off when backing up out of parking spaces

I got the Roush ones about 9 months ago. You're right, they are removable, but I havent removed that since. I hardly look out that window and if i do the openings are so small that you can't even tell whether it's dirty or not. I guess it's more of a look thing. If you still go with Roush ones I'm pretty sure you won't take them off afterwards just to clean the area

Are the pics of your ride or are they from wheelskin? They look sweet and the price is decent.

Thanks to all for the replies.

I have the same louvers and have not had a problem with the window getting dirty. I used Rain-X on the window before applying them. After I wash my car, I use a leaf blower to dry my entire car and the leaf blower seems to get it dry between the louver and window pretty well. If you attach the louvers with the 3M tape on them, I suggest cutting a 1/4" gap in the tape on the bottom side of the louver to allow water to escape freely from between the bottom of the louver and the window.
