RE: Xcal Tuner wont turn on! HELP PLEASE
^^^ thanks for the backup howarmat...and pretty much anyone who can pull a dipstick or remove an oil cap can tell if the oil changes have been kept up or neglected (oil burnt onto the dipstick, burnt onto top of cylinder head under oil cap, condition of oil on dipstick, etc.)
...p.s. I had a job changing oil at a local dealership and if you think the average lube tech gives a crap about anything else than quitting time, you're sadly mistaken...most of them are underpaid, overworked and abused, and there's a very high turnover rate...if you do your own service, you can make sure you got a nice hot drain, and that the drain plugisn't stripped or left loose, you can fill up your filter with oil, make sure the oil you specified actually goes in your car, make sure the proper fill level is met, etc. I would never EVER let anyone else change my oil but me...
...and also, as long as you use a good synthetic oil, don't beat on your car until it warms up, and don't go above the safe hp numbers for the stock internals, it's not like your engine's going to detonate...

Well I got my car back from the dealer today and they said the problem I had was a blown fuse. I'm kinda scared to re-flash my car now. What do you guys think? Should I leave the stock tune or risk it and put the custom tune back on?

^^^ load up the tune, and if there's a problem with it turning on, check the fuse again...maybe you had a cell phone charger or something else plugged into your 12v that blew the fuse, because i've never heard of a tuner blowing it...

Ok this is what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna drive the car with the stock tune for about a week or so...Then I'm gonna re-load the tune hoping that it'll work and so I could feel and appreciate the difference once again between the crappy stock tune and the bad a** custom tune
