Default Dammit! Another screw in my tire!

I allready have one of my stock tires plugged. Now on the way to the dentist or back I picked up a screw on the outer edge of the tread. I guess I should be happy that the front tire caught it and not the back. I had my M&H drag radials on the back for their first test drive. Those things are like glue, i could not break them lose in first gear from a 5-10mph roll and no chirp into second. I don't know what to do now, i'll have two tires that have plugs. I got one nail in my tire with my ford ranger over a 7 year period, had this car a year and two allready, WTF.

They are 4 laning the road I use to get to and from work, that might have something to do with it. It looks like an automotive screw though. Now I have to change that tire before I go to the track tomorrow.[:@]

I got a screw on the weekend it was a big one, it was in the tire and i didnt notice until i low my window i heard some noise, then i stop and look at the tire and saw the screw on the tire but it was completely tight to it so the air didnt comes out.

I took my mustang for repair and they said the best way is somehitng called like an injection, they pull the screw outand the tire start deflating then they inject a small pice of something like plastic on it and that was all.

Which method do you know if the tire have a screw ?

where did you get it done..

as long as it wasnt a knock off job, they are completely safe and will last the life of the tire no prob..
..

if there is a discount tire near you, take it there, we do em for free

Discount tire will plug it for free? I've always plugged my own tires with the kits from the parts store, but i've never had a car with this kind of horsepower before. Plus I don't like the idea of going down the track with a plugged tire, wether it be plugged by you or me.

Yep.. sucks. Two plugs in passenger front and one in passenger back. I'm pretty good at plugging tires now though. These Pirellis like to pick up nails/screws.

ok... heres my thoughts on all this..

slime/fix a flat.. alll of them are shltty.. they dont work and ruin the tire..

plugs from autozone etc.. are not what im talking about.. we actually have like a 15 step process that we take in repairing a flat.. yes we do it for free.. no charge what so ever.. new valve, and a re-balance as well (on that tire)..

also the road hazzard.. its worth every penny.. it costs like 14 each tire.. and if you ever get a blow out or something that we cant fix .. anything that happens to the tire, as long as its not mechanical (like rubbing, or something) then we replace them for free!..

i wouldnt have put them on my new tires if it wasnt worth it..

just tryin to help you guys out.. and the plugs vs the real patches and repairs done at shops are not good.. i would be nervous about those at the track or on the road even.. those are fine to get you from runnign flat on the way to the tire shop.. but not good as a complete fix.
