My friends stock LS1 Camaro dynoed 300 horsepower stock and it ran 13.3 at 104 bone stock. The LS1 auto my other friend has ran 13.5 bone stock so auto on auto the camaro would win. Stick for stick it would come down to who is the better driver. The best numbers I have seen from a stock '05 five speed gt was 13.4 but it trapped 104 so with a really good driver the mustang might be even with the camaro. I'm not the biggest F-Body fan but they move down the road pretty damn good. If the Mustang had more displacement it would be a different story. I still bought one of them slow '05s though.

If the Camaro is (sorry was) so great, than how come the Mustang outsold the Camaro and Firebird put together 2 to 1. And the Mustang is still be built. I haven't seen any Camaros or Firebirds on a new car lot.

I agree I wish they offered a bigger motor in the mustangs,then we would rule all That got me wondering does ford racing(or someone?) offer bigger engines that can swap into our stangs???(not necessarly the 05,but '99 and up) I think that would be awesome. I know I could fabricate and put(almost) any engine in the stang but is there any bolt in's?

Also I just realized I put 14.5 as a 1/4 times,I ment to put 13.5,and thats on average,sorry about that.I know the LS1 can pound pavement,but with few mods the 4.6 will kill a LS1! I have seen it!
