Yeah i am going to lean to the nature of the beast answer too then....I do know what you are talking about though. It happens to my rear end sometimes too. Kinda unsettling[:-]

Most definitely. I come from the Offroad community so I'm a bit familiar with bump steer and death wobble but the rear end is a different problem.

I've actually been to Badlands Offroad park up in IN kinda by you howarmat.

"Death Wobble"??? I thought that was what poor actors do in the movies after they're shot.

LOL, true!

It's scary though, the whole front end shakes uncontrollably.

Death Wobble is quite common on lifted Jeep Wranglers. Talk about unsettling, going 70 mph and having the front end feel as thought is totally coming apart while your bouncing and shaking like a bartender mixing a martini.. The only way to stop the wobble is to completely stop the jeep and continue on with a stain in your shorts. Death wobble comes from loose or worn suspension parts on the front end

this is the nature of a solid rear axle

+1.
I haven't driven the Mustang in the rain though and I'm wondering if the "jolt" is severe enough to
throw you sideways when hitting abumpon an on/off ramp.

Not for the most part but it definitely increases the pucker factor.
