After 2.5 mos of ownership, I have a whopping 850 miles. Pitiful, I know, but its primarily a weekend driver....

Hi,

Congrats on the 10k! I'm at 9,800 and am right behind you. Wish the odometer did not have the decimal point. I had to convince the station that gave me my last sticker that I did not have 90,000 on my car!

After 8 months, I justturned4000 miles. Looking for a beater myself now so the Stang can stay protected in the garage through the bad winter days.

I have put nearly 17,000 miles on mine in the 8 months I've owned it. That's over 2000 miles a month. But I drive 30 miles one way to work, and it's a daily driver. I drive it weekends, too. My wife's 1995 Crown Vic with 200,000 miles on it is the garage queen at my house, LOL!

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but have you adjusted your maintenance schedule accordingly for your low annual mileage? For instance, oil changes maybe every six months, and a brake flush sometime between now and next summer, etc?
p.s. I don't know how you do it, man...my last car was a civic lx that went about 300 miles every 5-6 weeks...now with my mustang I see about 200 miles a week, and keep in mind I live about 3 miles from work and everywhere I'd ever go is within 10 miles of my house...

Yeah I've got nearly 14k miles on mine and it's an '07!! It's a daily driver for me through all the seasons... I just love it so much I make excuses to drive it all the time! I have considered a beater to drive for better gas mileage and well it would be more practical... but why not enjoy the Mustang??? That's what I got it for and I intend to drive the hell out of it. (I do mean to take care of it, but just enjoy it w/out it being a decoration in the garage)

I encourage all you guys to drive your Stangs a little more and enjoy it to the fullest!!
