There are 2 of them sitting on the showroom floor at Simi Ford, asking price $66,000. The sales guy got a little pissed when I laughed and walked away. He was grumbling something but too hard to hear over my choking ...[8D]

I see that no-one who posted has one!!
What is it with some GT500 owners? A GT500owner in a similarthreadmade a similar comment. He posted, "Let us GT500 owners worry about the prices of our cars." What?

I guess GT owners aren't qualified to have an opinion on "their" cars.Damn-it, I should've paid $50,000.00for my $28,000.00 car. Thenmaybe they would except me as one of their own...

Personally, I'm glad they are coming down. I paid 85K CDN for mine and I don't regret it one bit. If Ford can get their heads outta their asses and make this car affordable (mrsp) they will make a killing with it. I drive both my GT and 500. I swap every couple of days. It's hard to believe both car are from the same platform.
I purchased mine at that price because I just couldn't wait not to parade it around like an ***. The way I see it, if more people can afford one, the aftermarket will follow and that works for me.

That's like saying why buy a GT when you can get a 6'er and make it faster and clone it to a GT for even less then you could a Cobra . Its not the same thing and never will be.

Don't laugh, but when I bought my first S197 GT in March '05, some gold chain wearing dude bought a yellow GT(from a stealership I complained to Ford headquarters about in regards to their business practices) that was lowered and had some [sm=bling.gif]rims added by the crooks and he paid $47K for it($15K mark-up, $5K wheels/springs). When I mentioned to him how much I paid, his G/F slapped him and hewas drunk 5 minutes later(my then G/F and I were at a bar when that couple showed up). Hey, if you can afford it, I guess it makes sense to have some sort of bragging rights, huh?[8D]
