Cant get bolt off for spydershaft install... (Edit, new problem)
Its one of the front end bolts. I was tugging, trying to remove it, and it 'headed' itself, and sort of rounded out.... Now any amount of force is just making the socket slip... Any ideas? I'm about to just give up.... I keep trying to cram a smaller socket on there but no luck yet.
Have you tried soaking the bolt with PB Blaster yet? If not go buy some and soak the bolt overnight and then try again.
Did you use 12 Point sockets on these bolts? If i am not mistaken that is what they are and normal 6 point sockets can cause this stripping problem.

12 point bolt head. Must only use such. If stripped that badly. Penetrant wont work as the bolts are coated in factory thread lock. Heat bolt head with a hand held torch. Allow to cool back down to where you can touch the bolt comfortably and use vice grips on the head. If all goes well it will break loose. Good luck. Don't give up.I have been running the Spyder shaft for over a year and it is more than worth the effort.
Not familiar with the assembly but if you can put back a couple of the other bolts and tighten them it may compress the fitting enough to allow you to loosen the bolt giving you trouble.
Thanks guys, you rock, it worked.
Im 25 years old and never had a clue that there were 12pt sockets as opposed to 6pt. Go me.
I got the 12pt sockets and the bolt came right off. Didnt even need the PB, though Im sure ill need it in the future sometime.... again thanks, cant wait to post a happy review.

You might try this if all else fails

You'll probably want to see if you can order some new bolts as well. I wouldn't want to put a stripped bolt back in. But yeah, def make sure you use a 12 pt socket.
I cant get the pinion nut off now, argh!
I used my torque wrench as its the longest, but even at 150lbs it still clicked - the nut is on even tighter than that. ARGH.
Looking for a breaker bar or smething....
