GOOD MOD Combo
Tune/Intake, Frpp 4:10's and fr555 slicks. I was talkin to someone on youtube about his Mustang Gt auto, his mods were Jlt intake,Tune, 3:73 gears and slicks. He beat evo's, gto and a camaro ss from a launch. I think this is a great combo(cai,tune,gears,slicks) , he gets a 1.8 60ft time. From a dig you will beat most cars. yeah I've been recommending CAI/tuner, 4.10s, drag radials and rear ca's as a good combo...some say that the 4.10s will eliminate wheel hop by themselves, but I'll never know personally because I did my ca's first...oh well...
Im not a real big fan of 4.10s. I thought about getting them, but i raced an 07 gt, basically same mods as me (before nitrous), he got me out of the hole but i caught him in 2nd and litterally BLEW by him in 3rd. A perfect happy medium for me would be 3.73's (especially since the nitrous). But i have 3.55s, idk if i want to shell out the $700 for that little of a difference quite yet.
4.10 > 3.55's atleast up to 120. He must have missed a shift or you had more power. Maybe he was spinning.
I wouldn't get slicks or drag radials without changing the suspension. You need to address wheel hop before adding more grip. I don't see how gears can lessen wheel hop unless they are causing the tires to spin more thereby hopping less.
