Default Ants in the Car

So I noticed a small sugar ant in the car today. Then a few more and finally after pulling the plastic pieces in the door sills I found a nest on each side seems they are drawn to the water that is trapped in that area after washing.

Yea, there are drain holes under the car on the seam and you
can see ground thru the seam slots under the door sills. Silly.

I once got ants on my car when I parked at a friend's house under one of those palm trees that drops little round fruit all over the ground. The crazy black ants would be crawling around my car, especially in those valleys around the rear window for almost a week, even after I washed the car!

I had ants once. I got some poison and traced it neatly around the dash panels, sills, etc with a q-tip. Never had ants again.

I've found a few ants in my car as well. Not sure how they get in, but they do. You would think Ford would have built these cars better to keep ants out. Also whenever it rains I get water all over the inside of my door sills. Does this happen to anyone elses ride?
