My stang is my DD here in SE Michigan. Drove last winter on the stock PZeros without any issues. The stang got a bad name in the 80's for being terrible in the winter. Well, that was back when the stang had a 302 and only weighed a little over 2500lbs. Now that the stang has bloated to 3500lbs, it's much more sure footed than any other stang I've owned (this is my 5th stang).
All seasonsor snow tires and the stang will just fine in the winter in most states.

Your good unless you have to go up big hills. GO SLOWWWWW AROUND CORNERS!!!!! I have a huge winter season here, just go slow around corners and you'll be fine. Way easy to flip yourself around in a corner, just go reallllllll slow.

I do not think its that bad as long as you are not speeding and you take it easy as you should with ANY car during snow. I've driven in the snow here in VA and its fine. I just took it easy. I think the car is worse well not the car just the person driving it during rain storms because you tend to think its safer than the snow so you tend to speed more.
