IMO the mods are not worth $7K, in a scenario like that I would have bought a GT and chosen all the mods to my liking. I wouldn't say you got "ripped off", but you didn't exactly get the deal of the century either.
I am really digging that rear bumper cover/valance, any idea who makes it?!?

In my experience, when a car is modded by the dealer, he will take the cost of the mods, and double it on the addendum sticker. So a good price for a dealer modded car is 300 over invoice, (not MSRP), plus 1/2 of the addendum sticker.

Again it comes down to financing. Yes, you may pay more at the dealership for the mods but the stuff is included in your financing. Most people qualify below 10% interest wheras if you walked into a mod shop and paid with a credit card you most likely dont have a credit card under 14.99% interest and if you are late on one payment then the interest will jump to 22-24%. So in the long run it probably comes out to the same when interest is figured in.

As it's already been stated price depends on a lot of things, where you live and buy, availability, etc. I've learned one thing when buying a car. Everyone seems to get a better deal then you. I think alot of times it's just a load of crap. The fact of the matter is if you want to make yourself misserable then ask if you got a good deal from a bunch of strangers! Your sure to succeed!
Otherwise just enjoy the fact that you got a sweet ride. You liked it when you purchased it, so there by you got your moneys worth.

Paid $24 grand after rebates for premium 07 GT. Dealer installed options are high $$. But if you ever have a problem with it, at least you have a warranty on it all. That is worth something.
