wow such wide tires up front are ok ? - i dont want to change brands since i already have the new sumitomos thats why im only lookin for 2 - trying to work my way round this

Well I don't think i'd want to go with a shorter diameter in front to match the back. Even if you lower it, it will still not look as low as a car with stock diameter tires, but you will be closer to the ground which wouldn't be good imo.

You could change to a 275/40/18 in the back (26.7 inches tall)which would be .8 inches taller than the tires you have now and only .3 inches shorter than your fronts. You shouldn't notice a .3 inch difference.

If you want to keep the back and have a front that is about the same size in the sumitomo, get a 245/40/18. That would be 25.7 inches tall and your current rear tires are 25.9 inches tall.

If you go that route just be carefull if you lower it because you'll be 1/2 inch closer to the ground than any mustang running stock height tires.

? when you say closer to ground and be careful - your concern is scrapping driveways and such or actual handling performance - the later is what i can not deal with
