Dashboard Noise
Has any one else had problems with there dashboard vibrating and rattling. It is quite annoying. Road noise is one thing, but my dashboard shouldn't be rattling. It almost seems as though it is a vibration between the two layers of the dash up near the front window. I cant be sure, but I was hoping somone could shed some light on the problem.

RE: Dashboard Noise
Mine is the driver side A-pillar. I just push on it really quick and it stops until the next bump. I'm just gonna buy some guages to put there and add some weight to it. Maybe it will pull on it enough to keep it from rattling on the metal.

RE: Dashboard Noise
My dashboard rattles in the same place on the drivers side near the windshield. If I press down on the dash it will stop but as soon as I let go it starts again. It seems to worse at lower speeds. Ill prob have the dealer look at it again next time I go in.

RE: Dashboard Noise
Its probably the defroster vent on the top of the dash.
The foam anti-rattle/rub has shifted from the adhesive
getting soft from heat or it was ford-quality-not installed
at the factory if it has done it from day one. Dash removal
is the only way to properly fix it.[:@]

RE: Dashboard Noise
Well thanks for the input guys. I drove again and took special care to listen and it is the passanger side A pilar along with the front dash. Just like drtua said if I press down on the dash it stops. The adhesive must be cheap. I do live in Tucson AZ where it gets very hot so that could have effected it. I'm sure I will get the run around at the dealer so I will just have to live with it.

RE: Dashboard Noise
After four years of living in Tucson with my '96, it must have been rough on my paint. What a stab in the gut it was when my saleswoman told me the paint was "a little faded". It still hurts because I loved that car. I have not heard any dash rattles in my '07 yet, but then again I DO have the Shaker 1000. I worked at a dealership for a while in another lifetime and my favorite dash rattle recomendation to the customers I knew well was to apply more volume to the stereo. Damn, I sure miss seeing those huge saguaros all over back in Tucson. Can't seem to grow them here in North Texas.
