Maybe Im crazy... Delete plates really helped.
I installed Steeda's economy Charge Motion Delete Plates, anda tune for it from b@ma.
Wowie. I feel like I have the pull at higher speeds that wasn't there before, that always seemed kinda lacking in these stangs, as the rpms drop when the taller gears are reached. Its really noticeable how improved it is...
Seems to be improvement in torque at the lower end too, but most importantly definately not a loss in torque like some expected.
Of course maybe b@ma just did an awesome job with the tune, but its an 87performance tune just like the b@ma tune I was already running (except now made for the delete plates).
Anyways, it might just actually be a good mod.
(By the way for anyone who doesn't know what the Charge Motion Plates are... They are basically like another throttle body but they sit behind the intake manifold instead of before it like the real throttle body. These charge motion plates have a butterfly valveineach onethat opens like a throttle body does, based on needed air, with a motor controlled by the computer, much like the real throttlebody does too, therefore limiting air - again - after the throttle body has already done this. The Charge Motion Delete Plates give you new Charge Motion Plates but with the butterflies removed, so they're just open)

Yes but Brenspeed claims you gain torque, from dyno results. My guess is its all in the tune to get it to work right.
