Default Nitrous!?

Ok...I'm contemplating a nitrous system, and I have a couple of questions.

Whats a safe shot in the long run? 50? 75?

What exactly is the difference between a 50 and 75 and 100 shot?

What are the advantages/disadvantages/differences between dry and wet kits?

How hard is the install?

I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about nitrous, so I appreciate in advance any help that I recieve.

The smaller the shot the safer it is. The shot size is essentially how much NOS goes into the motor.
Dry kits are simple to install although slightly less effective than wet, which are much more involved to install.
Dry systems inject NOS into the air intake tract wheras Wet kitsuse their own multipoint injectors either seperately or conjoined to the fuel injectors.

The term "shots" is how much power the jet will produce (approximate)

A "50 shot" = 50 hp
"75 shot" = 75 hp etc.

As with anything in life there is no hard and fast rule as far as what the limits truly are. The general consensus is less than 100 shot is pretty "safe". Your results will vary.

Check out the pipes, boost, and juice section of the forum. I got a lot of good info there.

I think your thinking more of adirect port nitrous setup. A wet setup injects N20 and fueltogether in the intake tract whilst a dry setup injects N20 only and leaves the ECU to regulate the fuel.

NOS makes a cool kit for these cars. When the system is turned on, the car will start to spray at 3K (activated at WOT) and shut off at 6K...it's a wet kit and includes 50hp and 75hp jets (although MMFF got +150 ft/lbs increase with the 75 shot)
...I wish I had the nuggets to put it on my car! (bizalls, not gold nuggets...the kit's only about $700 or so, plus lots of labor plus you probably want to get fancy with remote bottle openers and stuff like that)...

Don't forget the window switch, most important partto keeping your motor in one piece. But the way it sounds NOS incorarates it into their kit.
