Comparative track times for CAI/Tune?
Hey guys. I've been researching a bit about CAIs and Tunes, and it's become apparent there are as many theories as there are Mustang owners. If you believe the companies who seel the upgrades, you can get as much as an additional 45 horses and 35 Lbs. of torque at the rear wheels by installing these two mods. Ok, even IF that's true, (which from what I've read from actually owners who have installed these it isn't even close) how much faster do you really go? How much quicker in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile? Because, really, that's what we're all after, right? Well, that plus a cool sounding rumbley growl when we push on the gas pedal!
Ok, so what I'd like to do is ask any and all of you who have done these two mods is to post the results in the form of track receipts. Let's see the real proof. Even if it didn't make much of a difference, that's what I want to know, and I think so do some others. Whaddya say?
To start things off, I took my 2006 Redfire GT, completely stock so far, to the local track here in Puerto Rico (it's called "the Underground") and did 9.32 in the 1/8 mile. 77 mph.
