Another check is to sit in the vehicle, remove the key and lock it with the fob. Then wait a minute or two. If you active theft, then the alarm will go off because of the motion sensor. Scared the heck out of me the first time it happened!

I'm moving to south seattle in a week and already found an apartment there, however I didn't do my research before I signed up for that apartment, and found that it has high crime rate there, and some vehicles have been stolen before! I've never thought about how easy is a vehicle being stolden ever, until now...
The saleman told me that the key is specifically programmed to work on my vehicle only, and it has something called SecuriLock (don't know what that does)as well. So, how easy is it to be stolen?

well, your much more likely to have your car broken into than stolen!
Don't blow your money on Lojack. But spend it on as many theft deterrents as possible. Get a great alarm, with the remote that tells you when it goes off. Get the autolock and the cover that goes over the steering wheel. Then get the best car cover with a cable and lock. Make sure you have wheel locks, don't show off how loud an aftermarket stereo you might have, and keep NOTHING visible in the car. Don't even leave a cell phone in there!
Oh and get a flamethrower for crack-addict-removal!
