I like the zex kit so far haven't had a chance to do some real accurate number tests(my setup is not exactly complete can't decide exactly what to do). First I installed myself with a 12pk a beer and a buddy neither of us have any mechanical skill whatsoever but it went semi smooth. I cut off 4 tenths on my 1/4 but thats at a real bad track and on rims and tires I usually only use on the street. I beat a member on this forum who I won't name by alot don't know car lengths or anything but from 70mph he cheated and jumped on me and I caught him real quick and when I touched the brakes I was at 120 and he was only at 100. 250 shot is not realistic unless you plan on rebuilding the motor. And if u plan on going to the track dont forget the blow down tube the track won't forget to not let u run.

If you plan on never supercharging your car and want to live for the momment then go ahead and get a conservative kit and a good tune. You should be fine. Its a great feeling and bang for the buck.

But its addicting and remember NOS doesnt blow up cars people do.

I have run up to the 125 shot and pulled almost a full second quicker with just 75 shot. nos up to 125 shot proves to be acceptable without any other upgrades, other than retarding the timing a couple degrees and making sure you have good fuel.
75 shot nothing required not even a tune, just run good gas. Anything over 100 = Tune and Colder Heat Range Plugs... Yet I wouldn't run Nitrous w/o colder plugs no matter what shot.

PLEASE dont call it "nos"................"N.O.S." is a brand.

Please excuse this question, I am still a newbie at modding, but it seems I have the bug....

I heard that NOS, NOZ, Nitrous, nitrous oxide system or whatever you wanna call it was really bad for your engine. Can the stuff blow a stock engine, or can the risk be totally controlled with a small amount of NOS being used ?
anything will break if you hit it hard enough lol...

p.s. BITE MY SHINY METAL A$$....God I love that show!

well technically isn't it called "nitrous plus" to differentiateit from the stuff the dentist uses? They put sulfur dioxide or some such thing in it to prevent substance abuse (for humans I mean...substance abuse on the cars is running rampant lol)...

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if I put in spark plugs that are a stage colder for the nitrous will it affect my engine adversely during normal operation?

Hotter plugs are for vehicles rarely driven or driven very forgivingly...colder for vehicles driven hard, so if you're driving like the rest of us do, even off the bottle, I don't foresee any problems...if you drive like an old lady, you'll have a lot of carbon buildup on the plugs...

really the track requires a blowdown tube even for a 75 shot? Weird that I couldn't even find one on the NOS site (although ZEX has one)...
