hey guys.. im debating on wether or not to buy these xenon window scoops for my alloy.. im worried that they wont really be noticable since my car is so dark and the tint and all..


wondering if i could get any pics of any alloys with some scoops/louvers on it too see what it looks like..

No, the side skirts are rear bumper are 3dCarbon, but the window and side scoops are from Blow-By Racing. I love them and they are pretty rare to see. I don't know of anyone else who has them.

i want more appearance mods now, but hate to pay 500 + in cash for basically plastic..but im sure it will look good, although ill have to get the side scoops another, (broke college student).. *sigh*

k so i just bought a set of those xenon scoops .. then i did a little searching on here, and alot of ppl have had problems wiht htem falling off!.. figures after i send the money.. but at the same time.. alot of ppl are happy with them..

i swear to god, this car is a like a never ending pit that my money just gets sucked into.. IF ONLY MONEY GREW ON TREES.. i would have a tree farm

Well it's a little late now, but my scoops came as a set for $450. Then they needed paint.

As far as them falling off, this is because they were not installed right. You MUST clean the surfaces (both the scoop and the car) with pure rubbing alcohol. Do this a few times too to be sure it's 100% clean. Then you MUST use 3M adhesion promoter. This stuff comes in a little packet (if it doesn't come with the scoops) You smear it on the scoop AND the car, let it dry for a few minutes, then apply the 3M tape. I applied the promoter and the tape to the scoops the night before, and then did the car the next day right before the install. Do NOT apply the scoop to the car in direct sunlight on a hot day! USE 3M MOULDING TAPE! It's musch stronger than the ordinary 3M tape. Also, use the wider stuff instead of the thin kind. Wider tape=more contact area and a better bond. Do it right and they will never come off.

I couldn't find the stuff at any store and I looked really hard. I had to get it online here:

The scoops might come with it though, so buy this only if you have to. I think they are like $1.75 a packet. Buy 2 for each part you want to install (one for the part itself, and one for the part of the car you stick it to)

If you need them painted let me know I live in kissimmee and will be painting some parts for my alloy in a few weeks.
