Martin123, don't push your female friend out of your Mustang because she complains that the passenger seat rides too low. She might not be enjoying the ride because she can barely sit high enough to see out of the window. Turn that liability into an asset. Give your female friend a nice pillow to sit on while she's riding with you in your Mustang. Maybe with a silk pillow cover. Pretty women are one of the benefits that come with driving a Mustang!

all you ned to do is add a washer stack at each attaching bolt under the seat rail. you may need to get a longer fastener.

I already looked into raising the seat with longer bolts.. unfortunatley, the seat isn't mounted "Down".. the brackets mount into the floorpan on a ridge and so the bolts run paralell to the car. To raise the seat would mean building new extension brackets.

My wife complained too - I just turned up the radio. I don't see a problem with it visually. My seat tops/head rests seem to be in line when looking from the front or back.

Doesn't the seat incline slightly from the back position to the front position in regards to the slider tracks?? If it does like almost all cars, then just have them move the seat toward the dash and they should feel better - with plenty of leg room this should be a feasible solution considering the "complainers" are probably of a shorter nature [8D]

ORIGINAL: Aquaman2005

I was just wondering if anyone had noticed that the passenger seat rides lower than the driver seat, maybe its because Ive got the driver seat servoed up. I keep my seat all the way up in front and all the way down in back, and the passenger seat still seems lower, Ive had people comment that its like sitting in a tub, has anyone noticed this and done any modifications to raise the seat??
I know this is a very old thread, but I wanted to post this reply especially for any Mustang enthusiast doing a search on "Low riding passenger seat". Our new 2007 Mustang GT convertible was delivered on Jan. 19, 2007. We ordered it with the "Comfort Package" which includes a power passenger seat. The power passenger seat works great! We love it and we really love our new Mustang!

So if you feel that the passenger seat rides too low in the new Mustang that you take for a test drive at your dealership, ask them to let you take a ride in a Mustang that includes the "Comfort Package" with the power passenger seat. In our opinion, this option is more than worth the price.

I added 2" square stock under the tracks with new grade 8 bolts, nuts, washers. hardest part of the project was drilling out the threaded studs on the tracks. I followed the instructions on how to raise the passenger seat on another mustang site, when I get off work I will try to find and add to post.
