anyone else like this?
well recently put on a c&l intake with a brenspeed tune and well it seems ok until 3,000rpms then it gets up and goes is this normal? also sometimes its feels real fast sometimes it feels slow and i mean i will floor it it feels fast then 3 min later when i floor it again it just doesnt feel so strong any idea why.
if this is sorta normal does the @#$# chips race tune help out with the 3000rpm thing?

Yes it will pick up after 3k and give you a little harder pull.
B ama tunes will do the same, more so with my car than it did with the brenspeed.
It can feel sluggish as it gets hotter....same deal at the track.....running back to back will hurt the times.

I know with my Brenspeed tune this does happen some, but it's way better than stock - it used to really bog before 3k. Also, throttle position does have something to do with it, as there's different mapping for WOT than partial throttle positions. So I notice a difference in going past 3k when giving it half throttle vs stabbing the gas fast and flooring it.
CMCV i doubt....i removed mine and there was no change to whats described here before and after.... I know the drive by wire is what allows for this and you can get this with the old actual wire system....
Thanks for the responses guys, yeah its definatly better then stock, Horwarmat or AJ how much difference was in the $%^# chips compared to brenspeed, i have heard alot about %^&$chips and i really want to try them i think.
I will use this that i have posted before:
Brenspeed has 1 tune and it is pretty good all around...
B ama has a couple different ones.....
1. Torq-great power down low especially, a little less pull up in the higher RPMs (4K+)
2. Perf- Not as much down low but feels nice up top.
3. Race-almost like the 2 above combine....great down low and when you thinkits done and has nothing left......it keeps going up to 6K
the race might be to much for some for a DD.....but alot, including me, use it as the main tune. Third gear pulls incredibly hard on all of his tunes.
VMP also makes a great tune, very similar to brenspeeds. I like all three, B ama, brenspeed and VMP and they all have been great with my car. 3rd gear has been the best with b ama but brenspeeds seems to pull a little more in 2nd sometimes over dougs.
Bottom line is you should/will be happy with any tunes probably, Hell Tillmanspeed (CR) has a really good tune also. Every car is different to and will react a little different to every tune.
Good Luck!!
