I was curious of the owners that live in the St Louis area of the country would you / do you daily drive a GT? Also for the winter months do you have another car or does the GT do well in light snow. I'm in the process of evaluating a career move which might bring me there and trying to decide what to do about transportation.

I live in the Chicagoland area and I drive my Mustang everyday. Even the winter wasn't too bad. I got around just fine, but I was more worried about what the other drivers could do to my car. If you can afford it get a beater for the winter. I'm trying to find one before this coming winter.

I am near indy and the first winter i had no problems...last winter I did get a truck for winter but would still drive the stand if it wasnt snowing....it can be a DD in the winter as long as you arent pushing some really high HP with summer tires. I would get a beater to make it easier though...you can get one for 1000-1500 that shoudl do you just fine.

I live in Kansas City, opposite side of Missouri. St Louis doesnt get as much snow fall on average as we do. Even though for the last 10 years, it hasnt been what it used to be. We get a storm and if its light enough it will be gone in a few days. Unless it stays freezing for awhile. Last year, it stayed below 20 for about 3 weeks straight and we had 2 storms come through. So it took awhile for it to melt way. The roads do get plowed quickly, so you wouldnt have any more problems than anyone else. When a storm comes, you will know about it if you watch the weather. You will have some time to prepare and when it gets downright nasty, stay home. Dont drive more than you have to. By the next day, all highways will be cleared, the day after that, side streets will be cleared. Only places you will have to worry about would be parking lots and driveways. Its really not that big of a deal anymore. Just dont do anything stupid if you absolutely have to be driving during the storm.
