I just came from the Alexia's Auto Tint (apparently they're quite good) and they quoted me $185 for Solar Guard hybrid film and $500 for Solar Guard Ultra Performance. (I'll have to look into what Ultra Performance does, but unless it makes my car go faster somehow, I probably doubt it.)

The guy seemed pretty knowledgable about the process - he even warned me about the scratching issue before I even brought it up. He told me it's $75 a door for them to install a felt liner, or ~$10 for me to install it myself.

Oh - and as far as the scratching issue goes - I've noticed that so far, only folks with 05-06 Mustangs complained that their tint is getting scratched. Any 07+ Mustangs ever had the scratching problem?

Ok I told my dad to put moleskin or felt on before he tinted the windows, but the tint guy said that the windows would be fine so he didn't put any on. Sure enough the windows were scratched like hell 3 days later and I gave him **** for the rest of the week.

I paid $220.00 for top of the line tint and lifetime warr.... Not all tint is created equal, so don't be cheap...you get what you pay for. You pay for $70.00 tint.....thats what you get!!!!
