Default Mustang Owners with a cloth interior...

How do you guys keep your Cloth material clean?

I have seen a few times around this little mini Steam Vac thing for cloth interiors...do they work? seems like a waste. Others I talked to say they just take their car to a detailer... I have just been using a regular vacuum on my seats etc...

What do you guys do?

I just vacuum. If water hits the seat with dirt on it it's very hard to clean afterwards. Keep the dust clean and I have no problems.

I had some cloth seats in my old Saturn that got kinda dirty; Meguiar's had some cloth upholstery cleaner that worked WONDERFULLY to clean it. In fact, it worked great at getting a soda stain out of the back seat (I'd had a bottle of soda in a bag, coming home from the grocery store; went around the corner, the bottle rolled out ofthe bag, hit the console, and busted open, spraying the seat with cola) after the bottle exploded. It's possible that it was a combination of things that helped, because I'd had the seats Scotchguarded, but I know that Meguiar's upholstery cleaner helped to clean it thoroughly.

I've had mine get dirty from the shop a couple times and used a fabricate cleaner/wipe that I picked up at walmart. It works great cleans the spot and does not discolor the fabric.

I use a soltion of water and a few drops of a mild detergent in a spray bottle; lightly mist and rub until clean, works well and does not leave a residue.
