2007 Roush - tried to install door welt. No Go. No groove to insert the welt tab into. Even tried to cut down tab and hot melt into groove. Hot melt will not stick to welt or door. Welt will just fall right out. Pictures I see on this forum have a different door panel materialwhich the welt surrounds, different than my Roush. Any Ideas. Thanks.

 

If you don't have the vinyl insert in the door (usually OEM with the leather interior, regardless of the color seats you have), the welting won't stay in the groove.

Just a quick question,
will the welting work on my v6 stang with the base plasticish doors? No vinyl insert? Or will something need to be done in order to make it fit?

Also, should I buy 3/16" bead, or 1/8"?
