ok, so after flip flopping between stereo, suspension, and power upgrades...i decided on the power. i just ordered:

C&L Intake/Brenspeed tune
4.10 gear
gear install kit

so how much of a difference is this actually going to feel like? is it a night and day difference? i also have the pypes 2.5" cat-back exhaust.

Yah you will be able to tell a diference! Make sure you find a good installer for the gears, it's worth the money.

how much should the gear install cost me? i don't want to be ripped off (though I doubt my mechanic would, he was a ford tech for 25 years and runs his own shop now, good friend).

I predict high twelves with good driving, and good traction. If traction evades you make drag radials and rear ca's your next mods...screw the stereo!
