...it's probably the mach one that's got em screwed up...before that all 4.6 GTs were sohc and all cobras were dohc (I think)...the mach one is the only sold-axle with the twin cam right?

Ok well heres a gotcha question then since every one says the 4.6L is a SHOC then why does the motor have two cam shafts wouldnt that still make it a DOHC and the 5.4L be a QOHC? Or is it just looked at as a SHOC based on the heads?

feng houzi you are correct, although it's worth mentioning that there are some sohc 16 valve 4 bangers out there (talk about a busy camshaft, eh? lol)...

and thats what my first thought was to. but it could be a little tough for some on comming from a car with say a 4 banger to grasp right away.
