it wont download the stock tune after you do that the first time.

There's a selection somewhere for it on the SCT main menu that will tell you if your tune is stock or aftermarket. I think those menus depend the most on your tuner, though.

If you didn't have the tune installed with your intake, then you're car would very quickly go into limp home mode and start running on four cylinders.

I change my tune periodically, because of that, I wrote down the parameters of the tune down and placed them in my maintenance folder. That way, I can see what's on the car without having to hook up the XCAL2.
