Default Base vs GT

I just got back from San Diego two weeks ago. I was a little shocked to see the number ofbase modelsversus the number of GT's. I spent three weeks there and could probably count on one hand the number of GT's I saw. Probably 95% of the Mustangs were V6 models. Is it like this everywhere else? I live in Germany and it's about 50-50 here. I was kind of expecting it to be the same in California.

Several V6 stangs are sold in america for every 1 GT. They are what keeps the mustang in business.

Are you military?

Im inHeidelberg and i know that germans cant really get the new mustangs. So,i think itsbecause most of the people who buymustangs here are soldiers with deployment money, and can pretty easily afford the GT. Even with the older model mustangs its rare to find a v6 in a parking lot full of GT's

I see more GT's and specialty models around me, like the shelby's and such. I live in PA on the eastern side, about 40 mins from NY and about 5 minutes from NJ....that most likely explains it I have an 07 GTandI feel like the 6 banger in aworld of GT's To tell ya the truth though.......on the weekends is when ya see all of them out, the laywers and doctors seem to be the only ones affording the 70+ thousand dollar cars and they dont hammer them..........

Mustangs are meant to be driven not hidden.

I live in Mannheim and work in Wiesbaden.

I paid almost $28k for mine. That's not really that much money for a car these days. On the other hand, in San Diego I saw car dealerships advertising V6's for like $15k. Those were pretty basic models though. Probably with a "work truck" interior (vinyl floor mats, no a/c, etc....).

See a lot more v6's here then gts. I think ford makes several v6s compaired to gts to keep thier average mpg down for thier fleet.

Well I prefer a GT over a V6 for sure and here in the Motor City there is a TON of them.
