Default would i be happy with a GT?

Been thinking about going to a 06 or newer used GT. I have a 06 a6 C6 Vette with some mods, it puts around 395hp to the ground, the car runs great and has plenty of power thru out the RPM range, down low it will eat the tires up. The C6 handles like a dream and it gets 28mpg on the highway, but the payments are killing me at $800 a month. I figure i can buy a used GT and make around 400 a month payments, that would leave me plenty of mod money.

So do you think i would be happy going from a modded C6 to a GT?

Umm yes. As long as the GT gets modded. My buddy loves my car and he drives an 02 Z06 and hates Fords.

Well, the GT is the lightest, lowest pricedV-8 rwd new car available today. Yes, it's not a potent as a C6(or C5 for that matter, have you contemplated a C5?) in stock form, but for much less money, it'll give a stock to lightly modded C6 a decent run(to maybe 120-130ish mph) with a blower and gears.
If you shop around, you can pick up an '06 GT for around $21-22K(with a decent down and 7-8% financing) and you could be less than $400/mo.
I'm not a 2 seater fan, so I need rear seats and luggage room, and the Mustang has the Corvette totally beat there. If you can halve your car note(or better), I think you'll be how surprised the GT responds to simple mods and forget that plastic fantastic

$400 more per month in your pocket should make you wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Hell yeah... 800 a month ouch! A coworker has a 05 vette and he can not stop looking at my car. He keeps on begging me to lend it to him on lunch. Maybe more power but the new ones can't touch the pony styling period!

honestly, no

but if you redefine happy to mean having more $
left over at the end of the month, then perhaps

I am looking for 0 to 60 car, like a red lite hopper, i figure gears tune and CAI would be my first mods, or i can look around and buy a modded GT . I am very upside down on my C6 about $10,000 , thats what happenes when ya trade 7 cars in a year. But i have some money coming so i can pay off the difference in a few months.

Your gonna screwed in the deal, with being upside down 10,000 your car will be over 30,000. Your payment will drop but you will be above 400. The interest rates on used vehicles is usually higher and alot of places won't give you that much over the actual value of the car you are trying to buy.

I have around $15,000 coming to me, i plan on keeping the C6 for at least another 9 months to a year.
That should give me plenty of time to find that perfect GT or Roush or whatever hits my fancy
