Lost power?!

Lost power?!
This is kind of worrying me...It seems lately that ill have to step on the gas a little more to keep the rpms up...not a huge difference but noticeable. Doesnt seem to pull as hard either. On top of this i tried holding the brake and popping the clutch for a simple burnout only to watch my cars rpms drop...dead. What gives man?

RE: Lost power?!
Doesn't that BBK intake require a tune? If you running it without a tune you'll be running lean and will lose power and possibly damage your engine.
Holding the breaks and dropping the clutch, how could you not expect it to stall.

Tune comming soon, i get paid this week so....but no the lmperformance ok's it on a factory tune. I asked about that a while ago on here and someone said if it oks the factory tune on the site then i should be ok. Maybe the motor is finally getting sick of the non tuned CAI and is dropping hp. Should have ordered the package...ill order a tune from brent when i get my tuner.

I'm not sure but I thought the BBK intake did need a tune. But either way, you should have saved your money and bought both the intake and tune at the same time.
If you still have a problem after the tune, let us know.

This is where I got the idea that id be fine running it until i had enough for the XCAL2. http://www.lmperformance.com/6713/73.html I also emailed brenspeed where i plan to purchase my tuner and tunes to ask a few questions about the matter. I dont wanna damage my engine but im thinking about running 93 oct from now on.

RE: Lost power?!
Just take it off and put the stock intake back on, then see how it feels, then come back and tell us what happen.....dont put the CAI back on, that is trouble waiting to happen especially now that summer is here
