vinyl stripes down the bumper?
hi comrades!
next week i'm going to be getting my whip striped - two bold, black stripes up the center and one faded set along the rocker panels;
however, i have a question for all those enthusiasts with vinyl stripes on their ponies given something that the performance shop
guy told me: is it a bad idea to have the vinyl go down the bumper (if so, i'll keep it to the hood, roof and trunk)?
i ask b/c. since the bumper is not straight, the dude told me that vinyl stripes tend to look crooked. is this true? i'd prefer
to have them go all the way down, but not if they look lousy...
any advice would be great!
thx!

i was kinda surprised when he said not to put striping on the bumper - i figured if you're worth your salt, vinyl stripes can be straight. i wonder if i should go somewhere else, cuz they do look best all the way down...
Lemans stripes look absolutely stupid if they are not continued down the front and rear bumper. It looks like someone forgot to finish the job...
Also it looks really bad when the gap between the stripes is too wide.

Shelby Stripes on original GT 350 cars actually did vary in width to give the illusion of them being the same width as it went back over the hood and roof ... had to do with distance and perception ...

Gotta love Alaskan convertables!!!
