Idiot and my Scraped mirror cover…
Today driving to work like any other normal day pulling into the parking garage and some a@#hole is taking up the whole lane… so I have to swerve to the side…. And I ended up nicking my side view mirror… just a minor scuff but was wondering what everyone has done to there mirrors …ie painted, mirror covers…. How much to have painted? Or best place to buy the mirror covers?( would need a full cover not the insert thatalot ofpeople have)..... I think I leaning towards the covers…. thanks

Thats why I always park in the back of everywhere I go, I dont care if im late for work or its a hot day walking in to wal-mart, there are to many DA's not paying attention....sry if you dont already have the painted mirror covers, it would be a great time to get some.

I just saw a car today with full covers over the factory mirrors... i have to say it looked like a$$... they just don't fit right (or at least his didn't) and don't look normal. I would definately just bite the bullet and paint your factory ones... there were a couple of threads on here from people who did it themselves... took a bunch of sanding and prep work but was definately doable. My $0.02 anyway.

You may want to consider having your mirrors painted, or sanding and painting them yourself with factory paint. Cost of a shop is maybe $100 if you prep them yourself, and cost of doing it yourself is maybe $60 depending on the supplies and online paint source you choose.
You may also want to consider just buying a new mirror, which will run about $50 shipped off of Ebay.
If you insist a mirror cover then understand the common ones available everywhere, especially Ebay, don't look too good as they don't cover the whole mirror. The midwest auto ones are sporty and only cover the top half, but you may not like that. And theres the Xenon ones which cover everything but have a weird design to them....
